About Us

The Future Brighter (TFB) is a Virginia-based nonprofit organization aimed to build interest, excitement, and confidence among young children in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields. We believe all children can become amazing students and individuals when given the early exposure to develop their STEM identity.

  • Harrish Ganesh

    FOUNDER

    Harrish Ganesh is a senior at Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a committed student researcher in the areas of cancer hormonal biology and computational biomedicine research. He is a passionate STEM Ambassador and advocate for STEM equity and diversity. He loves to play basketball, participate in TED-style talks, and play guitar.

  • Taarun Ganesh

    CO-FOUNDER

    Taarun Ganesh is a junior at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. He has an interest in medicine along with mathematics. He competes frequently in Science Olympiad, AMC 8/10, and MATHCOUNTS. He enjoys Indian Carnatic vocal and playing the violin.

  • Avighna Sen

    PENNSYLVANIA CHAPTER LEAD

    Avighna Sen is a senior at George Mason University. He loves designing and working with machines. He also enjoys playing the guitar and studying engineering. He greatly enjoys robotics and Bhangra.

  • Ibraheem Bade

    CALIFORNIA CHAPTER LEAD

    Ibraheem Bade is a senior at the University of California, Irvine. He has always had a curiosity for STEM and is grateful for the opportunity to be able to spread his STEM passion to other young, like-minded students. His passion lies in neuroscience and molecular biology.

  • Diana Lin

    VOLUNTEER

    Diana Lin is a freshman at the University of Virginia. She is extremely passionate about STEM and increasing diversity in STEM fields. She has a strong enthusiasm for computer science. In her free time, she also loves to play the violin and guitar.

  • Soureen Singh

    VOLUNTEER

    Soureen Singh is a senior at The Governor’s School @ Innovation Park. He has an interest in the medical field along with economics. He has done robotics in the past and currently enjoys participating in HOSA, Model United Nations, and debate. Furthermore, he plays the piano and is enthusiastic to help young kids with STEM.
